Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai – Under the Innocent Sky ( 俺たちに翼はない – Under the Innocent Sky ) is a new visual novel developed by Navel (the masterminds behind Shuffle! and Soul Link) scheduled to be released June 28, 2008 (prelude) and November 28, 2008 (regular).
As I can’t read Japanese nor can I understand it, I can’t give much info on the visual novel. However, it has truly interested me and I sure would like to read it one day! :D
Apparently there are two versions, the prelude and the regular version. What the differences are between the two, I’m not so sure. (( Different plots most likely. )) Here are the official sites: Prelude Regular
The title of the visual novel (Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai) literally translates to We Don’t Have Wings. The title is often shortened to simply Oretsuba (from Oretachi and Tsubasa). It is the fifth visual novel to be developed by Navel and is an Eroge – meaning it’s bad :P
I was looking up some info on the series and apparently it was announced way back in 2006 (or at least I’ve seen people discussing it on forums back then.) It sure is taking a while for Navel to finish this project. Perhaps it will be another long series like Shuffle! was – and hopefully a big success as well. The novel has truly been kept under wraps.
In the OP for Prelude we see Naru Ohtori holding a stuffed-cat doll. Reminds me of Primula a bit. ^_^;
I can’t seem to find any websites that talk about the whole plot of the story. I wonder if there is going to be some kind of supernatural things in this visual novel – like how Shuffle! had gods and demons. I’ve never read nor watched the anime of Soul Link (although I want to) so I can’t exactly say what Navel’s style is like. However, considering how long it’s taken to develop this novel I’m sure it’ll be great – although then again, I don’t know what the average time of developing a visual novel is. Either way, I’m a fan of Shuffle! and this seems to be somewhat similar to it so I’m quite certain it will be fairly nice as well. (Perhaps it has something to do with wings. :P)
