Bleach (ブリーチ, Burīchi, Romanized as BLEACH in Japan) is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. Bleach follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki after he accidentally obtains the power of a Soul Reaper—a Japanese death personification similar to the Grim Reaper—from Rukia Kuchiki. Gaining these abilities forces him to take on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife.

Bleach has been continuously serialized in the Japanese manga anthology Weekly Shōnen Jump since August 2001, and has been collected in 44 tankōbon volumes as of April 2010^[update]. Since its publication, Bleach has spawned a substantial media franchise. The manga has been adapted into an animated television series produced by Studio Pierrot which is still ongoing in Japan as it adapts the story from the manga. The series has also spawned two original video animations (OVAs), three animated feature films, seven rock musicals, and numerous video games, as well as prompted the release of many types of Bleach-related merchandise.

Oh My Goddess! (ああっ女神さまっ, Ā Megami-sama), also known as Ah! My Goddess!, is a Japanese seinen manga series written and illustrated by Kōsuke Fujishima. It premiered in the September 1988 issue of Afternoon where it is still being serialized. As of December 2009^[update], the individual chapters have been collected and published in 40 tankōbon volumes by Kodansha.^[1] The series centers on the relationship between college sophomore Keiichi Morisato and the goddess Belldandy.

As the manga's popularity increased, a five-episode original video animation (OVA) was made based on it. With the OVA's success, the stage was set for two TV series and a film to follow.

Kinkatou is a “full colour” illustration book released by Tohru Adumi during Comiket 77. I put “full colour” in quotes, not as some kind of derisive gesture, because this book actually has enough colour material in it to justify itself, but because technically, not the entire book is full colour, since there is a section at the end (which I consider a “bonus” section) which is printed in monochrome on a different paper type to the coloured part. It has been some time since I looked at Tohru Adumi’s work, and I will honestly say I was pretty surprised when I opened this book and found so much of it consisted of illustrations of guys. That said, Tohru Adumi has always been into the bishounen side of things anyway, and I suppose we should be grateful she does bishoujo at all.

07-Ghost is a fantasy manga written and illustrated by Yuki Amemiya and Yukino Ichihara. It is currently serialized in the monthly shōjo manga magazine Monthly Comic Zero Sum published by Ichijinsha. Seven bound volumes have been released as of January 2009. The manga has been licensed by Go! Comi for release in North America. 07-Ghost has been adapted into a drama CD.

An anime adaptation of 07-Ghost was produced by Studio DEEN and premiered in April 2009.

The manga also won a double-first prize in the 3rd Zero-Sum Comics Grand-Prix, this means the manga was chosen first place from both readers and editors, which is very rare to happen.
