Black Butler Or Kuroshitsuji

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Black Butler (黒執事 Kuroshitsuji) is a manga written and illustrated by Yana Toboso. Since its debut on September 16, 2006, it has been serialized in Square Enix's shōnen manga magazine Monthly GFantasy. The series follows Sebastian Michaelis, a demonic butler who is bound by a supernatural contract to serve Ciel Phantomhive, the twelve-year-old head of the Phantomhive noble family. It was announced in July 2008 that an anime adaption, directed by Shinohara Toshiya and produced by A-1 Pictures, was expected. It premiered in October 2008, and has since ended with 24 episodes. However, at the Sono Shitsuji, Shūshō: Saigo no Bansan o Anata to Tomo ni (その執事、終章 ~最後の晩餐を貴方と共に~, "That Butler, Last Chapter ~a last supper with you~") event on June 14, 2009, it was announced that the anime will be returning for a second series. Seiyū Junichi Suwabe confirmed this news on his official blog later that day. The series has been licensed for an English release by Yen Press and will be published in Yen Plus' August 2009 issue for the magazine's first anniversary.

Noto Arisa is no longer a part of Hello! Project

Monday, March 1, 2010

The leader of Hello! Pro Egg, Noto Arisa, has today graduated from the eggs and Hello! Project at their Shinjin Kouen concerts in Yokohama. I've been feeling sad over this because Noto is a really good idol whom I've always hoped would get a chance to be in a bigger act. However, by attending the show today it made me realize that not much will change for her. Nocchi will no longer be a part of H!P, but she will still be in the Up-Front Agency as an Up-Front Egg. She will also stay in Gatas Brilhantes and Ongaku Gatas. We just won't get to see her at the Eggs events anymore. That is not necessarily a bad thing taking in consideration that she's turning 21 this year and should probably fit better in a different environment, with most of the eggs being around 12-16 years old.

The graduation wasn't made into a big deal either. No songs were added on the set list. After it was over all girls left the stage and Nocchi came back and held a speech thanking the fans for their support and asking them to keep on supporting all other girls for her. She also told us about what she will be doing from now on which involves voice-acting, manga drawing (which I find great that an idol is interested in) and other things like the usual as stageplays and etc. It would be great if she could score a big role in a popular anime and then get to even release some music. Nocchi is an Otaku herself and she have always wanted to work with anime related things.

Thanks for your time in H!P and good luck with everything you take on in the future, Nocchi. Your career as a H!P member was flawless and if anything prevented you from getting to be a part of bigger projects it was only a lousy management.

Clamp (manga artists)

Clamp (クランプ Kuranpu), stylized as CLAMP, is an all-female Japanese mangaka group that formed in the mid 1980s. Many of the group's manga series are often adapted into anime after release. It consists of their leader Nanase Ohkawa (大川 七瀬 Ōkawa Nanase), who provides much of the storyline and screenplay for all their works and adaptations of those works respectively[citation needed], and three artists whose roles shift for each series: Mokona (もこな Mokona), Tsubaki Nekoi (猫井 椿 Nekoi Tsubaki?), and Satsuki Igarashi (いがらし 寒月 Igarashi Satsuki). Almost 100 million Clamp tankōbon copies have been sold worldwide as of October 2007.

Beginning as an eleven-member dōjinshi circle in the mid 1980s, they began creating original work in 1987. By the time they debuted with RG Veda in 1989, their numbers were reduced to seven. In 1993, three more members left, leaving the four members who are currently still part of the group. In 2006, each member decided to change her name, however later Nanase Ohkawa decided to change her name back (from Ageha Ohkawa back to her original name Nanase Ohkawa).
